I am running into stability issues using the wired ethernet connections of the DIR-655 for streaming music.
I am streaming FLAC files from a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ to alternately a Linn Majik DS or a Sonos ZonePlayer. Frequently in the middle of a music track, the music will be interrupted for anywhere from several seconds to several minutes, before continuing. The individual track files are typically 20-30MB/file (much smaller than a high-res movie file) and should have no issues streaming uninterrupted. Further, I am only streaming to the Linn DS or the Sonos ZP, not both simultaneously, and this will happen on both players. As the only other activity, if any, is regular wireless internet access by one computer with page views (no file downloads). What may be causing the interruption in streaming?
Is there anyway to configure the DIR-655 to prioritize wired music streaming above all other tasks? Although there is both QoS and WISH, they only appear to be for wireless priorities, rather than for wired links.
Please help if there is some way that I have my system configured that needs to be changed to ensure that the music is not interrupted.
