Trikein You couldn't be more wrong because all my levels are well within spec and all increased due to the extra booster. My SNR increased by almost 5db from 27db which it keep loosing connection to 32-33db constant. Downstream power level went from -6db to +3db and my upstream power went from 45db to 50db. All those specs are pretty good in my book and without a doubt are working perfectly for the last week. As for connection speed I have cox 30D/5U and real world testing is 34D/8U. I couldn't be happier my Internet finally works constantly due to two boosters on my run. So before you start bashing me because you think it's a bad idea my numbers just don't lie. I will always keep my eye on the power figures because I know to much power is going to kill my modem but as for now it's not even close to any danger zone.

::laugh:: What ever man, I wasn't lieing. I don't know what kind of "booster" you have that increasing a RX of  4.5dh. I was thinking you meant a inhouse amp, which usually increases by 10-20dB, something like this

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=coax+amp&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=14519722769657818361&ei=gaZmTMjzK4e4sQP3_L2ZDQ&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCYQ8wIwAA#

But like I said, if it works for you, cool. But it isn't best case.

I'm using two SVI Digital Amps that are both from COX. The first amp hits the run 15ft from entrance of the house. The second amp hits over 80ft of run later straight off the wall outlet and then the amped signal run goes another 10ft to my DC-4 Tap which then hits the modem and the 4db lost goes to the HD box. You say it isn't the best case but you are wrong in my situation it has worked out to be the base scenario.

Well then cool. When I say best case scenario, I mean it. Not best practicle scenario. If you found the best practicle scenario, then props. :-) Was going to write a long retort, but I just got off a 13hour shift = don't care. Plus its off topic to OP.

No doubt I wasn't trying to argue with you rather than saying I kind of found an unorthodox solution to the problems that has worked out extremely well.

Well yea, there is currently no issues with the Dgl 4500. They have fixed the restart and all the issues. Well we can't never say its perfect, it stills has it's flaws. What issues are you experiencing? As for me I got no issues, My router is at 95% and running smooth.

My router has been a solid performer since the 1.23 NA release.

Now if dlink could work on some of the wish list items that would be awesome.

I''ve been running firmware 1.15 with no issues for a while. Will this version do anything for me? I have around seventy devices on my network with no problems from my DGL4500 with the 1.15 firmware.

The one thing I need is more DHCP reservations instead of the current 24 limit with my firmware. Does the new one increase the reservations? When I had a DGL4300 the reservation limit was much higher.

Although the reservation limit was much higher on the DGL4300, This ain't true on the Dgl 4500. I really doubt that the latest firmware 1.23N/A increases the DHCP reservation. So for now you will have to stick to it as it is.
