"ou don't have any quality issues with MS product because they are Proprietary thus they must work or no money, a lot of negative press and customer complains for them and since the majority of the $$ MS makes comes from Proprietary hardware accessory etc so at the end of the day they must make it work. Also it don't matter if you use a Sony earpiece or third party earpiece because Sony uses One standard and that is Bluetooth. Just make sure the earpiece are compatible with Bluetooth 2.0 (EDR). So it is dependent on the quality of the earpiece you buy."
Ok, first, everything I am about to say is said in good jest. Not angry. Love ya guys :-)
I don't see how the argument that Microsoft wants more quality control. They lost that after the millionth red ring of death through..5 design changes? Plus, I don't think Microsoft cares anything about press. Microsoft could litterly flick off the entire world, and people would still buy Xbox's and OS from them like mad. And they know that. Look at how quick they are to ban..Furry, can I have a witness? They are ice cold giants.
Second, bluetooth isn't Sony Tech. I don't think Sony is even part of the Bluetooth CID. Xbox could have easily used it for their Xbox 360. Not only would it have made it easier for 3rd parties, it would have made it easier to sell their controllers to PC users. I think it was just a simple bad design choice.
3rd, even if were not talking about wireless, just wired, why do I have to run my headphones through my controller? Why can't they use the USB ports part of the Xbox? Sure, if they make wireless only work with the headsets they make, they make more money, but wired? Do they even sell wired headpieces? I thought they just came free. So again, I just see it as lack of looking at the big picture. This would increase sound quality, battery life on the controller, less wires, and cost almost no overhead. It would be a system update, firmware update at worst.
