That's what I was thinking.  My360 does what it needs to do.. Serve up games.  I don't need an "all-in-one device" that can do everything.  I don't want the bloated IE installed..

When I want to search, I'll get on my laptop.

Have any of you searched the price for our DGL-4500's recently?  They've gone up in price.  I've seen on ebay used one's going for $70.

"New" ones are going for over $200.

Oh yeah, definitely that, but do you think that it's better or as good as a router that's 6 years newer?  I wonder if it's kind of a cult-following?

I guess it could be possible.  If a newer router is limited by the firmware, then I could see where an older router running DD-WRT would trump a newer router.

I would think that using WRT and using older routers would have some benefits, however still, they are limited by the chipset and the HW there in and I would think that some of those still using those routers might be missing out on the newer or next generation HW and features in routers being seen today.
