I have a Dell Inspiron 1764 with Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) ,2.40 gigahertz Intel Core i5 M 520, 3gigs of memory, a Dell Wireless 1520 Wireless-N WLAN Mini-Card and The DIR-655 (all with latest drivers), why is it I can onle get 95% signal strengh when I'm sitting 2 feet away, is there someting I should change in the router settings to get 100%?

Thanks for your help.

Other wireless devices (neighbouring Ap's, old DECT phone, microwave) can provide just enough disturbance to account for those 5%. Actually, the 5% extra does not give an speed enhancements. So you're not missing out on anything.
