How to reset WBR 2310 rev A1

I've been trying to add a XP PC to my existing home network via wireless - would have thought it wouldn't be a problem, but . . . . .
Just when I got started with this my AT&T modem went out and was replaced by AT&T.  Since then, I cannot get to the router's interface at all.  So I thought I'd reset the modem and router and start form scratch . . . .
I've pressed the reset button on the back - at first, just pushed and released, then held it in for about 30 sec, then a minute - but I still can't get to the interface.  The IP address on the bottom won't work (192.168.0.1).  The modem IP is 192.168.1.254 - I can get to that interface fine, but not my router's interface. 
Can't find any details to reset router, other than push the button or do it from the interface (but if I could get there, then I wouldn't need to reset it1!)

Any help would be very much appreciated.  Please - - - before I pull the rest of my hair out!

Standard reset for D-Link routers is holding the reset button for 10-15 seconds, making sure that the power light shuts off during the process.

Once you've done that, do the following:
1) Disconnect the modem from the router first. Modem should not be connected to anything.
2) Check the IP address on your computer. It should be within 192.168.0.x.
3) Access the router's setup page via http://192.168.0.1 or http://dlinkrouter.

If step 2 fails, assign an IP address to your computer (example: 192.168.0.12)

If step 3 fails, do the following:
1) Temporarily disable firewalls on your computer
2) On your Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections, make sure nothing is checked. Then on LAN Settings, uncheck everything.

Thanks for your post!  I figured out why I couldn't get to the router interface (at least I THINK this is why) - I had originally set up the router on my Mac G4.  When I added the XP PC recently, we disconnected the Mac so we'd have a place to set up the XP PC. 

So last night, I needed to get back on the Mac for a while and decided to try to access the router.  It popped right up for me.  I was able to get every device on line - even the PS3 via wireless.  I didn't get the XP PC to connect via wireless, but I did get it connected with an ethernet cable.  I think the issue is with the USB Wireless Adapter we were trying to use and how the security is set up - can't configure the USB adapter to use WEP2 (for some reason), and I didn't want to risk changing everything over to another configuration in case it didn't work right (and since I had it hardwired, why bother?)
