My camera is the older hardware.  Every 30 minutes, 48 times a day, a startup log is sent to me. 
I have two of these cameras the other one being the newer HW version.  They both are setup the same.  But the older one sends me this email every 30 minutes.
They are both setup to send me snapshots if motion is detected.

anyone have an idea why I am getting the startup log every 30 minutes?

Old thread, but maybe I can help others...

I'm guessing it's due to the fact you:

1. Have a DNS failure, and it's retrying to make a connection.
2. An ALM (alarm) condition is present, and it's notifying you of the condition!

Find the right DNS numbers for either the Primary or Secondary setting, and/or clear the alarm condition to see if the constant notifications go away.
