I have just installed about 2 months ago a D-Link DAP-1522 Bridge / Access Point connected to my D-link router.
The DAP-1522 is interfering with my cell phone reception to the point where I cannot use the phone at the same time the DAP-1522 is on.
I am sure of that because I have had a bad cell connection since I bought a new phone. I have since exchanged it but things didn't improve. Today I put 2+2 together and I tested the access point. While on the phone I turned the AP off and immediately the quality of the call became crystal clear. I plugged it in again and the connection disappeared. It is amazing how immediate the effect is.
Now, the problem is what to do about it. It took me 2 years to finally find a good quality AP and run the cable from my office to get my wireless to cover the living room and allow me to watch Netflix and use my computer downstairs, but at the same time I use my phone for business and I haven't had a decent conversation since this whole thing started.
Is there a way either the phone or the AP can be set not to interfere? Additionally, I seem to be unable to connect to the D-Link DAP-1522 from my desktop. I seem to have no problems when I use my netbook. But the desktop all it gives me is a blank page.
Will change channel on the DAP-1522 help the problem? What other solutions are there.
FIY, my carrier is Metro PCS and my phone is a Samsung Messenger II R560
Thank you
