Righthand drive activity
« on: August 27, 2010, 11:32:17 AM »

My righthand drive light is constantly flashing not fash but slow and I can hear disk activity which is driving me crazy, I have unplugged the network cable and it's still doing it.
It did it yesterday so I powered down the unit and started it up again and it went away and today it's back doing the same thing.
Why is it doing that for?

Have you got any torrent downloads running, or any scheduled file copies going on? Funplug? Basically, is there anything running on the NAS that's keeping the disk running?

... Or maybe that volume is accessed from your desktop? Is your Antivirus scanning network shares? Or some media player scanning for changes?
