FTP Upload Problem
« on: March 26, 2008, 05:15:59 AM »

Hello,
I have a DLINK 655 router A2 with Beta code. Previously I had a Linksys router pretty old. Since I changed to this new router I have come to a problem of releasing the Wan link when I upload files using FTP. In around 1.7MB, link drops. I placed my PC directly connected to my modem (BellSouth is my ISP) and I can FTP upload without any problem. That’s when I place the beta code but did not help.

Any idea?

Check the SPI and NAT endpoint filters. Disable SPI and endpoint independent the filters.

Thanks!....It is fixed.  :D

1) SPI off
2) Enpoint Independent ON both UDP and TCP
3) ADDED MTU Size to 1432 instead of 1493 (default).

Question: What implication will have SPI and Endpoint independent on my network?

Thanks again

It just changes the way the NAT looks at the packets and where entities on the net are allowed to connect to/from.
