1.7 drivers, about time! doh...

Hey folks, not sure if anyone noticed (or cared, it has been a year for me).. but Dlink released a new 1.7 driver for this card.  I downloaded it with eager anticipation, my card has never really worked and has just been taking up space while I have a hard wire running to my pc.  Unfortunately here's what I have found so far:

1.  SLOW.. it lags horribly behind my wired connection on every website, even though I have almost max signal strength from my dlink wireless N extreme router?
2.  I had a BSOD already.  First one since the last time I turned the card on, but granted it took longer this time.
3.  The listing of wireless networks in my area in windows is much more limited than what the dlink tool picks up.  Not sure why that would be?

I have a Asus P55D motherboard, core 2 duo 2.8, windows 7 ultimate, 6 GB of ram.
