Connection dropping
« on: September 16, 2010, 08:26:20 AM »

I am having troubles with my Dlink 655. It used to stay connected for months at a time and now all of a sudden I am getting disconnects. I just replaced the DSL modem (Westell DSL modem was losing connection to the ISP) and I getting disconnects with both the old and new modem. I have tried a few different channels and am still having an issue. The firmware version is 1.21. I would like to update the firmware but I don't want to cause issues with my network setup. I have 2 laptops, 2 Tivos and a Slingbox that access the network. If I update the firmware is it going to mess with the settings enough to cause issues with anything?

Any suggestions on the disconnect issues or firmware updates would be helpful.
