Hi all!

I just registered because I'm having horrible problems with my DIR-655 router, and my room mates are prepared to lynch me as the internet keeps cutting out. We just subscribed to Comcast's most expensive internet, but we can't bloody use it because every 15-30 minutes or so the router will restart.

I'm running 1.32NA, but I need to have a stable firmware that will enable me to have port forwarding and dynDNS. Is there anything that can help me diagnose/troubleshoot this issue?

Many thanks,
Felix

I have been running the 1.34NA since they day it was made available.  Have not had any issues with it.  I don't do any port forwards or use dynDNS, but it has been running rock solid for me.  A2 Hardware.

I agree with Dave about 1.34NA

Uncheck "extra wireless protection"
Get rid of any 2.4 wireless phones
make sure router is keeping cool
do not use autochannel scan...change your channel manually.

Also, try it without using QoS active.

Good luck

I find my router no matter the firmware will reboot at random when i have a policy in access control setup with "block some access" which uses the website filter. It seems as if it cant keep up, turned that schedule on problems returned, turned it off and i've been up for over 6 days straight now.

We have the 655 & were having the same prob after my wife bought a new cordless phone 5.8GHz
I thought it may be the problem as it started right after, a real pain for our VOiP  anyway we switched to DECT 6.0 cordless phones  3 days later same $  & all our problems went away.
