Most common problem when hooking up a router:
1. Did not do a home network power cycle.
A. Unplug and/or turn off all equipment. PC/laptops/modems/router/etc
B. Make sure
ethernetis connected from the modem to the grey port marked "Internet".
C. Plug in modem power. Wait until atleast 4 solid lights.
D. Plug in router power. Wait 60 seconds
E. Turn on computers.
2. The modem isn't provisioned. If your computer or router gets a IP starting with 172 or some other 3 number range, this usually means you need to call your ISP.
3. Router isn't set to DHCP mode. Usually because the software couldnt get a IP so detected a static IP. This in turn was usually caused by 1 or 2.
