My situation is that I live in a large house---I have one router (DGL-4500) on one side of the house connected directly to the cable modem, but wifi connection in my bedroom (located upstairs on the other side of the house) is extremely weak or non existent.
To fix this, I had another router placed in my bedroom and hardwired it to the router connected to the modem. I originally had a Linksys WRT54GS router hardwired to the DGL-4500; the internet port on the WRT54GS was directly connected via cat5 to one of the 4 ports on the DGL-4500 router. This worked fine for me until the WRT54GS finally died a few days ago.
I purchased a new DIR-655 to replace the WRT54GS and hooked everything up the same, but I can't seem to get the internet working at all, whether be it directly wired to the DIR-655 or via wifi. Even after rebooting the router, it still doesn't work.
How would I go about fixing this?
