Router loses connection then reconnects
« on: October 23, 2010, 10:27:49 AM »

I'm new at this so im not so sure what to post.

My router just keeps disconnecting randomly then reconnects
a few minutes later

Also the 192.168.0.1 page, When i try to log into admin it doesn't work "admin,*blank*" doesn't work as
passwords. I've tried resetting the router but its no good.

What ISP service are you using? DSL or Cable? Is this a new 4500 router? After resetting the router are you sure you are using the correct password? I want to say its 1234, however look at the manual and it should tell you what the initial PW is to log in. It should log in under Admin. How are you connected to the 4500? Wired or wireless?

Default password is blank. If its not that, its because you or someone with physical access to the router changed it. Who originally helped you set up the router?
