Does anybody know if it's possible to get Email Alerts setup with a paid Hotmail Plus account?  I tried setting it up with one of my other paid email accounts for my own domain name and I couldn't get that to work even though I set it up correctly. It would be great if I could get it working with my Hotmail account. Thanks for all your help and time!

One problem with the DNS-321 is the SMTP port is not programmable.  Many ISP's have started blocking port 25 as a SPAM prevention measure, and this has made the DNS-321 email feature worthless.

Is there a way I can tell if that's what the problem is?  I seem to remember there was a way online you can run something that tells you what ports are blocked or open, but I can't remember what it is right now. Do you know if AT&T U-verse Internet has this issue? Thanks for your time and help!

Well, the port tests normally test incoming ports, this is an outgoing port. 

You can use the following test to see if it's blocked, my guess is that it is.

Well, I couldn't do the test because it said it couldn't find telnet when I tried to run it. I found some websites that I think helped me.  I guess I will need to call AT&T and see what they say.

They're listed as blocking that port, so I guess the answer is yet, you'll have to call them.
