Well I seem to be scratching my head on this one because I could connect via wireless to the net but not on a hardline. Replaced the 1ft cable and seems to be working flawlessly. What I don't get is how! ha. That cable doesn't get messed with. But it appears to be working great now and again I thank you all for the help!

Good to hear. Some times cabling can go back or manufactured badly. I would try this, take that cable and see if you can connect it to a different device to the back of the router or a switch. Test it and see if it still exhibits the same issue or different. I also have a 1ft Cat 6 between my cable modem and the 4500. I hope it lasts. LOL. Hope it works out.

::Edit:: DOhh!! Did it again. LOL. Damn me and my long posts. Heh. Ok, so yea, it was the ethernet between the desktop and router? Was allowing access to gateway but not internet? Maybe packet poss?
