Access point help
« on: November 09, 2010, 07:06:38 AM »

Hi,

I have a DIR-655 router with 3 mini laptops using it and 6 Linksys wireless IP cam's.  The laptops work fine, however, several cams update the image every 15- 30 seconds.  Others which are closer to the router update every 1 or 2 seconds.  Question, should I purchase an access point and instal it closer to the slow cameras?  Will this increase the cam updates?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

You might want to provide more info as to distances from the the webcams to the router (and obstructions) and current connection speeds.
