I have 4 NAS units.. 2xDNS-343 and 2 different competitor's units...
This morning we had a power failure. Each of my units is connected to a UPS, and all set up to do gracefull shutdowns, and stay off even when power comes back. However this evening I came home, turned on my UPS units in order to power the NAS units. and 1 of my DNS-343 units is STUCK at the "system is booting..." message with the dots scrolling constantly but never ends... My second DNS-343 unit and other units came up fine.
To my surprise, this unit, when plugged in, Automatically powers up without even pressing the power button, which is strange.. Normally you plug it in, and then press the power button to power it up.
I've tried everything I could think of.. I removed the drives, pressed the RESET button for 10+ seconds, unplugged the network, and still nothing.. As soon as it is plugged in, the OLED comes up with the Dlink Logo, then it switches to
"system is booting..." with the dots rolling, but doesn't do much. Even the network link doesn't come up.. The link light on my switch stays off

I even swapped the power supplies between this unit and my other unit, in case the power supply had a partial failure, but no difference...
The data on the drives is intact, since I installed them in my second DNS-343 and it came up with no issues, and all data is safe..
Anyone have any ideas ? The unit has been running firmware 1.04b03 for a few months now, so it is definatlely not due to a bad flash..
The unit is just under a year old, but I would rather not have to dig through my drawers looking for the invoice, and having to ship it in for a replacement if there is some way to reset it..
Thnx in advance..
