HI,

I own a 323 and wanted to upgrade to a 343.

is there any ways to do it without reformatting??

both my hdd are non raid

The DNS-343 forum is very quiet these days, you might want to ask some of the more experienced users in the DNS-323 forum.  I believe the file formats and disk handling are the same and "should work" but you'll need to confirm.

Are you buying the DNS-343 regardless of whether you can swap your DNS-323 disks?  If the answer is "yes", you can always test swap the HDDs, and if they are not recognized, then copy the data using a more conventional approach.

i have already bought it,(cause it was on offer) and sadly, i tested by slotting 1 of the hdd in, it didn't work. i was ask to format it. is there any other ways then reformatting? maybe the tech people from Dlink could advise?

How large are the two HDDs?  How much data are you talking about?

2.5tb of data. and i don't have another spare hdd at the moment.

My recommendation to you is to buy two HDDs to fill the first two slots of the DNS-343 and schedule a data transfer from the DNS-323 to the DNS-343. 

I had to perform the same exercise when I purchased my second DNS-343, except I had to push nearly 4 GB of data from my primary DNS-343 to my backup DNS-343.  In any event, it's always a good idea to keep a backup of your critical data on a separate physical NAS, and you can use the DNS-323 for that purpose.
