Network Activity Light on DNS-323
« on: December 09, 2010, 04:50:10 AM »

Hi:

I am seeing constant network activity on my 323.  I have isolated this to the 323 itself.  I don't use BT on the 323 but it is installed and I figure it could be a possible cause.  Also, I am not at all proficient in Linux.  I do have a couple of questions;

1.  Is there any way to see what processes are running on the 323?

2.  If there are unwanted processes running is there any way to stop them?

3.  If it is BT are there any known issues or fixes?

Your advice appreciated.  Thanks

1 - Only with telnet or SSH access. "ps -ef"

2 - "kill -9 [pid]" Best way is to reconfigure so that the process does not start if it is not needed.

3 - Uninstall it if you are not using it.

Thanks for your reply dosborne.  Could you please explain how I can uninstall BT?  I don't see an uninstall button in the Applications UI.  I should mention that BT was not installed via APKG.

Thanks
