Adjusting output power to less than 30mW
« on: December 11, 2010, 12:06:15 PM »

I am hooking up my 655 router to a Radio Labs 1w WIFI amplifier. http://www.radiolabs.com/products/wireless/wireless-inline-amplifier.php

There is a caution not to hook up any router who's output power is more than 30mW. It appears that the default power output of the 655 is 15dBm. According to conversions charts I am finding, this will convert to 32mW.

I assume that by lowering the transmit power from maximum to medium, I will be below the 30mW threashold.

Am I correct?
