DWA-552 Lockup with Vista 64 on 790i
« on: May 01, 2008, 02:52:55 PM »

I just switched this card from a EVGA 780i motherboard under XP Pro and all was working well.  I installed it into an EVGA 790i MB with Vista 64 and intel e8400.  I did a clean install of V64 and loaded the most current BIOS from EVGA and also the latest MB drivers from EVGA.  I also had SP1 installed and the latest drivers from D-Link support website for the 552 and V-64.   I then installed the 552, Vista found the card and loaded the drivers.
At this point all is working well.  Only when I establish connection with the internet the computer locks up shortly afterward.  This is repeatable every time and the only way to get out is to reboot the system.

I've seen above where the beta drivers are available and will try them tonight.  I just wanted to get my info here for D-Link so that further driver development may occur.
Thanks

The new beta BIOS took care of my lockup problem.  Thanks.
