Hi MrElectrifyer,

Do you have Email Priviledges, that is, Email Addresses from your ISProvider? Like Comcast or Verizon or Time-Warner?

Try using them instead.

Also are using Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail or Outlook or similar program to download all Emails from your Email Account and leaving no Emails in your Inbox online?

Me - I download all Emails store them on my computer. I don't store any Emails online.

Could your Inbox be full, if you aren't like me?

Yes my ISP (Telus) does have such stuff but apparently, the actual owner of the telus account isn't reachable at this moment and to get a telus email, I need that person to authorize it. In other words, I don't own the telus email account, I just manage the electronics and computers in the house.

Yes I am using Outlook 2010 to pop and imap emails from 4 email addresses (a .yahoo.com, a .ymail.com a .gmail.com and a .hotmail.com). So far, I have 0 unread messages and my Inbox contains 17 emails, other emails are moved to specific folders automatically (that's how organized I am, lol).

Guess I will just have to wait till I can reach the account holder b4 I can check that suggestion again, with a little different settings. But it still doesn't make sense because when I spoke to them today, I was informed that nothing is being restricted on my internet access  ???  I'll just keep trying, really want to take full advantage of what I have paid for  :'(

Hi MrElectrifyer,

Try sending from gmail.com account to Hotmail and see what happens. You need to Enable Pop in Gmail for it to work. Is Pop enabled in Yahoo.com or Ymail?

Just tried that and it is still not working. Yes I do have POP enabled in both my Yahoo and Gmail accounts.

For Outlook 2007: Port 587

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=86377

For Outlook Express: Port 465

Try configuring for Outlook Express, even if using Vista or 7.

Sorry for the late reply, I just attempted it again using the 465 port, still giving me the same error. But, since  my last 3 posts (not including this on) I seem to have been noticing another message along side the others since I've been making the changes:

[WARN] ...date... SMTP failed during sender/recipient dialog

Does that ring a bell in anyway? Any other professional suggestions would be really appreciated.

Hi MrElectrifyer,

Have you enable Pop or IMAP on Gmail.com? Not going to work for either, if not Enabled.

Yes I do have POP and IMAP enabled, I would have to have those enabled in order to use Gmail in Outlook

Going back to the settings. Why are you sending through Yahoo.com when the From Email Address is ymail.com?

Question: Why are you putting down your complete Email Address, when it is only asking for the Account Name in Account Name?

Because the ymail.com domain is from the Yahoo server, plus that is what I use in my Outlook 2010 and it works without an errors.

Question: Why are you putting down your complete Email Address, when it is only asking for the Account Name in Account Name?

That is the account/user name. Just like in Outlook 2010 (which asks for the user name), I use my entire email address because that works both as account name and user name on yahoo. Besides that, I have tried using just the part b4 the @ but that still doesn't work.

Any other professional suggestions would be really appreciated.

MrElectrifyer,

did you figure this one out or are you still having issues with setting up email? I am also having trouble with configuring the DIR-655 to send email.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi shonuff,

Do not send and receive in Dlink Router to the same Email Account. Try sending from a different Email Account or try receiving to a different Email Account.

I have Verizon and I created a secondary Email Account at Verizon and send to my Primary Email Account and works just fine.

Instead of using Gmail, use your ISProvider Email Account. You don't know, if you don't try.
