DWL-G650 no longer detected by my Notebook computer!

Hi.
I have a Compaq Presario 2500 notebook computer. I bought the DWL-G650 Wireless Cardbus adapter about three months ago.
Now it suddenly is no longer detected by my system. I have Windows XP Home.
It worked just fine all this time, and now Pffft. I tryed my old Belkin wireless adapter, and that worked fine.
The DWL-G650 card's lights flash during system boot at the DOS level, but go out as Windows boots.
I changed to the newest drivers from the D-Link site, but no good.

I hope you can help me. The card is only three months old!!
