We are in the process of evaluating every 802.11n client card we can get our hands on.

D-Link DWA-160 Xtreme N Duo D
D-Link DWA-130 Wireless N USB
Xtreme N Express Card Adapter DWA-652
Xtreme N Wireless Cardbus

The 2 USB cards seem to be connecting an 802.11n speeds.

But I’m having problems with the DWA, I can only get 802.11g 54M.
Driver 6.0.3.107
Utility 1.30

Cisco WLAN 4400 controller
Version 5.0.148.0

I’ve tried the Windows XP wireless driver and the D-Link wireless connection manager.

Any ideas?

I have the DWA-652 (only 2GHz) and the DWA-160 (using on 5GHz).  I was able to get a link rate of 300M on the 652 but never on the 160.  I decided to use the 160 because 2GHz is crowed at my location and I'm the only one on the other band.  I'd prefer to use the 652 but the 2GHz band is a deal breaker.  Now if D-Link would make an a/b/g/n CardBus adapter then I'd get that and outfit all my laptops with them.

It would be best to not mix your n clients with legacy clients if you can help it.  These cards also perform better if you use AES encryption.

but I don’t see anyway of configuring the options or speeds you talk about.

I have a D-Link DWA-652 Client associating to a Cisco 1252 AP LWAPP (Lightweight Access Point Protocol).

The USB cards have many more options under the Configure Tab of the NIC.

I guess I’ll try the 1.40 D-Link Beta driver…………

You won't see speed options on the adapter.  There are other settings you can set if you use Windows to manage and then switch back to D-Link's config.  Most of the settings will be at the AP.  Try and chose the highest rates possible on the AP if you have the choice.
