Firefox 3 problems?
« on: June 20, 2008, 12:31:04 PM »

Is anyone else seeing problems loading the Router Status page under Firefox 3?  Any time I try to access that page (ie. log in to the router), it gets stuck in a rapid page-reload loop on that page.  Clicking on a link to another page (eg. Tools) will successfully load the corresponding page, but will frequently bring up a javascript error alert, "Error loading script."

Or is this just my bad luck? :)

Nope, not just me.  Looks like a computer using Firefox 3 can't access the router status page properly over a wireless connection.  Wired connections work fine.  Seems that it's trying to read 'computer_list.xml' and 'igmp_group_memberships.xml' before they actually contain any data.

This is on a A1, v1.09 device, btw.

About the issue you are having right now it seems is something missing on the add ons or plug ins of the firefox browser you have , since on the lab we don't have this issue on any dlink product we have done from cameras to router and several others products using firefox 3 and till this point we haven't had that issue .

however reply if you are using any kind of portable browser or so , that way it will be a lot more easier for us to check issue .

In all honesty, I might just have a bum router, since it seems to crash itself anytime there are enough bittorrent connections coming into the network, too.  Nobody else seems to be reporting any Firefox 3 problems, so.... :)

Hi Qev,

I have the same problem, and my computer is wired to the router. I have a DIR 625.
I can access it via Netscape, however with Firefox does exactly what it does to you.
It also reboots when downloading bittorrents. This is apparently related to a buffer overflow issue they were having with the dlink routers since long time ago, I guess.
Try accessing the page with another browser.
The funny thing is that on another computer, also wired, and on all the wireless computers in my home I can access the configuration page of the router w/o any problems, and I have Firefox 3 on all of them, so I do not think necessarily that it is a Firefox issue, though it could be.
I would like to hear some competent technical answer to that if anyone could give it to me.

Cheers.
