Hello all,

I'm having issues with my DIR-655 rebooting, seemingly randomly, but typically under wireless load.  I normally cannot go for more than 1-2 hours without the router rebooting (All clients are dropped, including wired.)

Here's my current setup. 
Firmware 1.11 (have also tried 1.11 beta)
WPA/WPA2 - Personal
Channel -3 (turned off auto scan, have tried various channels)

Let me know if I can provide any more info.  Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

I have the exact same problem (as do countless other people on this forum). I am working with tech support but it looks hopeless. I've tried all suggestions on this forum, beta firmware, etc etc.. It does not reboot with wireless disabled in my case but that is not a feasible solution.

My old WRT54GL NEVER had this problem. rock solid for over 2 years before I foolishly tried to upgrade to this faulty router.

I it is the wireless issue. Therefore, are there many wireless connection around your area? It might be the interference causing the router rebooting.
Home telphone, other wireless connection from your neightbor, etc...

I do live in a condo complex so there are many other wireless connections.  A reboot seems like such a poor consequence of a dirty wireless environment.  I could understand (although not be pleased with) wireless connections dropping, but a reboot of the router (including wired connections) baffles me and is borderline unacceptable.

Hav you tried different chanel and disable the SSID broadcast?
Maybe you can change the Visibility Status to Invisible.  Something like that.

Yeah, I've always made a habit to disable my SSID broadcast.  Also, I've tried on various channels (not all of them yet) but none seem to be any better.  I will cycle through all of them at some point though!  Thanks for the suggestions.

I have the exact same problem, I have Linksys and ZyXEL previous. They worked very solid and stable from day one. Although the signal would drop when have Wireless interference with other devices (such as wireless router or cordless phones), but it never reboot by itself. It is unacceptable of this D-link wireless router. (Suggestion: Don't use this router in Urban Area)

Finally, I found a Wirless channel that would not reboot the router yesterday and still monitoring.

My DIR-655 also reboot when the Wireless has interference with other devices. Finally I found a wireless channel 7 can work with. Even the microwave ovens, 5.8 Ghz cordless phones, wireless baby monitors, wireless television transmitters.

Why the 5.8 Ghz cordless phones? - most 5.8 GHz cordless phones use 2.4 GHz for the return channel, without mentioning that fact anywhere on the box or in the manual.

I sugguest you test all the wireless channels one by one.
