I have the very same issue as all others of you. I hoped to wait for a better firmware that solved these dropout issues.
I have been surfing on a cheap and newer and more stable Linksys router for maybe 1.5 years now. It is the only solution for me.
But it is sad to have forked out some dollars for this c ra p p y dlink-router. Because it is c ra p. I know it doesn't help much by stating the obvious fact, that it is cr a p. But the support team should have this feedback from as much of us as possible.
I hope that some day this router will have a better firmware release. I also hope that IPv6 will be implemented, am I to hopeful with this request? Or is IPv6 implemented in it already, because my ISP is running on IPv4 for now, so it is untested.
I think firmware patching is the only viable solution for fixing these problems. Or else they did form dlink release a lot of cr a pp y chips/circuits with this router model. One or the other.
I need the router to run in N-mode. So I have a pure N-setup leaving G-mode out of the picture.
But for now the router is only gathering dust, and that is a shame.
