Computer Priority
« on: January 01, 2011, 03:50:13 PM »

Just got the DIR-655 and was wandering how to prioritize the wireless connections, that way my future mother-in-law across the street will be last. I can get the Static IP for a computer, but when I go into the router settings for QoS, I don't understand what info goes in there. Can anyone help me set this up?

you likely need to set LAN IP addys for all pc's using the router....

then you can set QoS using those LAN IP's (higher number being lower priority)

In the QoS section of the router, I see Name, Priority, Local IP Range, Remote IP Range, Protocol, Local Port Range, and Remote Port Range. No idea how to set this up. Is LAN IP same as Static IP? And which section would I put the IP address in to identify that computer?
