One change noticed w/ 1.20...  I have AT&T Callvantage VoIP (DLink 5102S), and over time, in the quest to tweak VoIP quality, I had tweaked DIR655 settings.  This originally started with some port forwarding, then putting the VoIP adapter in DMZ.  I realize having both of these configured simultaneously is redundant at best, but v 1.11 did all right with all of it.

I upgraded to v 1.20 this morning, and the AT&T box was the only thing I couldn't get to work.  Saw a few DIR655 log messages referencing the VoIP's IP address and a dropped ICMP, but nothing specific enough to help me get the AT&T working.  I finally turned off the port forwarding rules, and let the AT&T box just sit in the DMZ, and that finally got the AT&T working.  All of this makes sense from a logical POV (it should either be port forwarding OR DMZ), but like I said, 1.11 handled the contradiction, while 1.20 didn't.  I also have some QoS rules set up for it, so I'll have to see over the next few days if those are still working.

D-Link has pulled 1.20 Firmware.

It's amusing to me why/how companies do this.

Maybe they can fix the bug where when you deselect the UPnP server, it still is browsable via UPnP.  sure, there are no services available, but if I turn off UPnP, I want it to be off.  I have reported this before on the Beta firmware...

Maybe Lycan or another DLink member can give us more information about what happened to the DIR-655 1.20 firmware. The new 1.10 firmware for the DGL-4500 has also been pulled.

I hope this issues are minor and can be fixed soon. For now I think I'm going to keep using the 1.20 firmware, unless someone tells us that there are more issues than expected with the 1.20 firmware.

File dates for 1.20 are different now, the original bin file differs with it's date to the one thats in the zip file.

I have flashed the router with the older date stamped bin file and can not see any other changes.

One thing I have noticed, the 1.20 firmware -- when using laptop to access the internet, it takes longer to detect the proxy settings compared with that of 1.11 firmware.

I am using the DWA-652 in the latop for it's 300mps speed.

both the removed and the currently available firmware have the same content, the new one is just packaged in a zip file.  ;D

both have "30c23102a0c33754a66cba14534d7aba" md5sum ;-)

In my network I see an improvement.

I lost my custom config due to some changes in the firmware. So far I all I have done is turned off DHCP and added my domain name because I have a Server that provides DHCP and DNS for my network everything else is defaults. My wireless speeds are now much higher. Before this update powerboost never workded for my laptop now it does. I have considered my wirless settings may have been messed up before and simply resetting to defaults may have given me the same result but so far my network is stable and seems improved a 3.9 gb file just transferred in two minutes or so sustaining a tranfer rate around 28.0 mb/sec. Previously I had some more fluxuations in speed, take into account I am the only one on the network right now. If I notice anything negative in the next couple days I will edit this post.

I haven't noticed a difference really. Although I just got all PC's on wireless N cards and changed the router to N only and performance may be better. However since upgrading the FW every time I make a change, instead of asking to reboot now or later...or just making the change...My wireless connection drops for just a second any time I hit save in the router config...a couple times setings where not saved. I have learned to use IE when messing with the settings as I've had issues with Firefox in the past. I initially used an older laptop running windows 2000 to do the FW update since it was already wired to the router. I may try another backup, and reflash to see if it helps.

Note: 20/40 Auto-Mode change to good neighbor.

Please see the readme.txt, located in the folder containing the firmware file.

Note: After upgrading to firmware 1.20, you will not be able to downgrade to previous firmwares.

¤ SDK upgrade to Ubicom 7.6.1
¤ Fixed TKIP/WEP encryption issue with DWA-160A1.
¤ Fixed WEP 11g/11b issue.

I found that in Status->Wireless i've got in SISD name of my wireless network not my laptop name but in SETUP->Network SETTINGS on Number of Dynamic DHCP Clients i've got on HOSTNAME correct name of my computer. Even in LOG when my laptop is connect it shows name of my wireless network instead of laptop name. Is it bug of new firmware 1.20?I'm using DIR-655 A2 with 1.20 Firmware.

All this isn't making me feel too comfortable in moving to version 1.20.  Interestingly enough, the email notification of new firmware feature in the router itself, doesn't seem to be notifying me of any changes ... yet.

I think that it shows the SSID due to the new Guest Network option.  That way you can see what systems are going through your Primary Network and which are using the Guest Network connection.
