Firmware changes
« on: January 08, 2011, 08:22:12 AM »

Does anyone know where the list of changes for the latest firmware version can be found?  My new DIR-655 has firmware from May 2010, and I see the latest and greatest on the DLINK website is from September.  But it doesn't state what the changes are, so I'm not sure if I should upgrade or not.  Am I just missing it?

More inmportant than the date of your firmware, what is the actual version number of the firmware you are using. All the official firmwares are downloadable through the dlink website or you can use their ftp site if you want.

Let us know the version number and we can go on from there.

Is there any problems with the router? If not, I recommend keeping whats on it now.

You have a hardware B version and the current firnware for that is the 2.00, so you have the most current one.

The ftp location for your router is:

ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir655_revB/

Current Firmware Version :    2.00NA
Current Firmware Date :    Wed, 12, May, 2010

Even though the website one has a September date, the actual firmware is from May, so you have the latest.

Hi sudz28,

You have the only Firmware Version available for that Hardware Revision of the Router.
You can't downgrade your Firmware version, since version 2.0 is the shipping version.
