Does DGL-4500

Have a guest wireless mode?  Like if someone comes over and I don't want to give them a key just let them use the guest login with limited stuff.

I do believe there is not a gust mode for the 4500.

Nope, I don't think any D-link offers it. What you can do though is hook up a old router, leave it unsecured, and run it in bridge to the 4500. Just leave it unplugged until your friends come over then plug it back in. If your worried about security concerns, you can enable WLAN partition in the Advanced wireless option, that will block your wireless laptops from connecting to each other, so no one can go snooping around in your shared folders. Just be warned, that will block all filesharing between your wireless in the mean time.

No, the DGL-4500 doesn't currently support Guest Mode. I bought a DIR-825 Rev B (to which I installed DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std) which supports Guest Mode, something I also wanted and needed.

If you wanted to do the multi-router thing, you'd need three, one at the top to act as the DHCP server, and connection to the WAN, and then each of the other routers connected to one of the switched ports on the first router, to fully isolate your traffic from the guest zone traffic. If that isn't a concern, you could just use two, but be aware that all of your unencrypted traffic would be sniff-able.

Hope this helps,
Hank
