Totally random connection drops
« on: January 09, 2011, 02:13:21 AM »

For the past few months my router has been randomly disconnecting me and everyone who is connected to the router from the internet from anywhere between 10 seconds and 1 min and i can't seem to figure out what has been causing this. It can happen multiple times a day or it can go for a week without happening. it makes playing online games extremely annoying.

Hardware Version: A4
Firmware Version: 1.32NA

So whos your ISP service? DSL or Cable? Does the ISP modem have a built in router by chance?
How are you connecting to the router? Wireless or Wired?
What wireless modes are you using? Mixed or Single?
Any other wifi in the area?
Any house cordless phones?

Replace the router! We had the same issues! Worked fine for about 1 year and then these drops started and became longer and longer. First just a few seconds then up to 1 hour. Getting a new router fixed it.
