router d/c and reconecting

i have the 615 with virgin 50mb im on wire but other pc is on wirless with the d-link dongle.  it runs fine then randomly d/c from the secure one and connectes to one called d-link unsecured. then d/c and reconects iv tryed changing channels seting it to just n only. firmware is 1.00 but it says its fully up todate. any hints.

Yeah dump that firmware and put the DD-WRT firmware on it, D-Link firmware is awful and the the virgin firmware on the 615 is worse, I gave up trying to get it to work properly.  Mine wouldn't work over VPN, would need a reboot every 3 days because clients wouldn't connect, etc.  But since putting the DD-WRT firmware on it's not missed a beat.

I wouldn't call it awful. dd-wrt is better, but the d-link isn't awful. If you want awful, try some of the Netgear Modem/router combo's. ::gag::
