My new bought D-LINK DCS-910 network camera is refusing to work with my DynDNS host that i want to be able to monitor my cam outside my own networ. It is connected to my D-Link Dir 100 router. I have been in both my router and camera and entered the Dyndns settings, account etc. On testing it says its ok but when i go to my host that i setup on dyndns free all i get is to the routers default login page 192.168.0.1 where i need to login meaning i cant for example access this from work.
I have specified port 8080 in my dir-100 router and forwared it to the internal ip the camera default got in the manual but it seems outside my own network it does not work. I have used different ports to be sure its not blocked same problem. For example i have no problems mapping a port to use for hosting ftps and other stuff so why a dlink network cam refuses to work outside my network i cannot understand.. i soon give up.
