Picture links do not display
« on: January 20, 2011, 03:41:21 AM »

My router (DIR-655) is all up and working but the only thing thats not working is a link to a picture posted on a web site.  If you take the link and paste it in the web browser it displays fine, on a web site that should show the image in a forum, All I get is a white box with a X in it.

Any ideas?

Does it do it on all websites or just certain ones?

Double check your Internet settings to make sure you don't have "Show Pictures" turned off.

BY the way, I had a Netgear prior to this and that worked fine.  It died so I replaced it with this D-Link 655.

The "Show Pictures" setting is in your browser options not the router.

For IE: Tools> Internet Options> Advanced Tab
Scroll down make sure Show Pictures is checked.

Thats not the problem, this was all fine till I changed out the router.  This by the way is happening from my house and my job.  So, IE is not the issue.
