I have a iMac 5.1 with Snow Leopard 10.6.3 installed. I can see the DNS321 in my network, I can click into Volume_1 and I can see the folders.. When I double click to open a folder, it just hangs and never reads. I'm trying to get to my MP3 folder.. My Windows 7 machines can get to it just fine. I'm running SMB in the settings.
I set the iTunes serve to my Volume_1/MP3 and it reads that just fine. But I cannot add any music to iTunes on the iMac from the MP3.. The little wheel in the lower right corner of the screen just spins.. This is true for ALL folders on the drive. All the permissions are R/W...
Can anyone shed some light on this? It sure seems to be a MAC OS issue as the Windows machines can do everything w/out issue. Funny.. if I were to be on what would cause a problem, I'd usually bet on Windows.
Any help/advice would be appreciated or I guess I'll have to move iTunes back to the Windows machines.
Thanks
Alan

EDIT) I fired up my Ubuntu box... it found the DNS-321 just fine and I can access all folders (R/W) on it. So what's the deal with SL 10.6.3/mac's? I would think that a solution to this either via firmware or something would be available by now. I've scoured this forum and have tried all the solutions I found to no avail.. I'm not sure I understand what needs to happen with SSH? I guess I just don't understand. But I read where the 323 had a FW update to address this issue or something similar.. So why don't we have a fix for the 321?
