Autoconfiguration IP address

hi
am trying to help my friend with connecting her laptop to network

she has got windows 7 a 615 dlink router

its keep showing limited and
Autoconfiguration IP address 169_254_253_81 Ethernet adapter wireless network connection IP address 0-0-0-0

i ve done ipconfing relese and ipconfig renew didnt help

any idea?

Need to check cables and make sure the cables are connected correctly. Try different cables. After that, try doing a factory reset. Autoconfiguration means that the PC is not getting a IP address from the router in a timely manor. Thus could be cable or the router itself.
