Ive have been using the WDS feature of the DGL 4300s for almost a year now. I have two DGL-4300s. One is setup as a Bridge, one as the Router. I have tried both the 1.9b and 1.9 firmwares and they are unusable as the Router. I can use firmware 1.8 or 1.9b with the Bridge because these revisions have the bridge mode option which makes things so much easier (WHY DOES THE OFFICIAL 1.9 NOT HAVE THE BRIDGE MODE OPTION?) but I can only 1.8 as the Router (I dont think WDS is even an option until 1.7). With any other firmware on the Router I get incredibly poor performance and/or complete disconnects where I must restart the router to even connect to it. I know the rev 1.8 was taken down for security/performance issues but without it I cannot connect to the internet. I have spent hours working with rev 1.9, 1.9b, and 1.7 but IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH WDS TRY REV 1.8! It may save you A LOT OF TIME!

Wireless channel 11 (other channels do not work so hot)
Wireless is set to 108 not automatic
WEP security
GameFuel is off but traffic shaping is on (tried on/off on all revs no effect)
Beacon period - 80 - recommended by support
RTS Threshold - 2100 - recommended by support
Fragmentation Threshold - 2100 - recommended by support
DTIM Interval - 1 - recommended by support
WMM enabled
Above mentioned settings are identical for both devices
Bridge - WAN port speed 10mbs (recommended by tech support)
Router - WAN port speed 10/100/1000
I have tried default settings for Beacon, RTS, and Frag threshold but no effect on other revs
I have tried changing every setting I can think of for every rev but nothing seemed to work
