USB On the Router
« on: October 04, 2008, 11:37:40 AM »

How do you use this port on the router?  I would like to put a network hard drive on it but there is no application yet.  I think it is rather shady of D-Link to sell a router with a capability that has not been activated for over 2 years.

When will D-Link make this work on this router?  Revision A.

Thanks.

I want it to have wireless USB print hub functionality. Gigiabit Ethernet and Draft-N are also necessary here, as I am eventually going to be adding media clients around the house to stream to every TV

The USb port is known to as Shareport.  You need to install the Shareport "drivers" onto every PC that you want to use the USB port.  There is a known problem as the Shareport can ony "really" be used by one |client" PC at a time.

C'mon man!! Sh**tport doesn't work w/ Rev A of the 625. See my post here. There really should be 2 seperate channels for rev C and A as they apparently are 2 different routers.
