I noticed my DIR-655 started locking up every :30 or so and tells me this when I try and log into the router:

 "Please wait...
The gateway is currently measuring your network connection.
Accessing this web page might have an effect on the measurement.
This page will refresh shortly."

Anyone have any idea what that means????  This lasts about 30 seconds as well as it drops all internet traffic and wireless devices while it does this.

I also noticed it no longer shows a log, statistics, connected computers, or internet sessions.  After I restore factory defaults it stops locking up but still don't get any of that stuff...I was on 1.11 when I noticed this but upgraded to 1.20, then 1.21 with the same results...is this thing broken or is there some new trick to fix this?

When you get that message that means it is just about to pull an IP address from your modem.

So if it's doing that over and over, it seems to be resetting itself.

You should load the latest firmware available from support.dlink.com

If you still have the same problem, call D-Link Tech support @ 1-877-453-5465

They will take you through a crash reset and reloading the firmware a 2nd time

If that still doesn't fix the issue you may be eligible for a product replacement, but most likely crashing the device and reloading the firmware will take care of it.

first,
The DIR series router do not have a crash reset. Second, the page your seeing the uplink measurement page. It should lonly do this one time during the Sync opf the modem with the router. If you're seeing this more then one time, there could be something wrong with the wireless environment thats causing the router to reboot. Do you own any 2.4ghz cordless devices?
