I have a client that has a rather large medical office. They have 10 incoming lines and will have 30 phones. Has anyone done a successful deployment of this size? Worries me whether or not this system can handle this kind of volume.
We have a 20 phone setup with 1 base station and 2 3104 PSTN gateways (running 8 lines). So far the only issues we are having are unreliable CallerID messages and some occasional noise on the lines.
The CallerID is reliable when an analog phone with CallerID is plugged into the lines. So it is definitely not the TELCO.
I have found that if we restart the PSTN Gateways when the noise occurs, it clears up significantly.
We have a planned maintenance to isolate the phone system and see if this resolves the issues above. I will let you know what I find out.
