50MBPS / 5MBPS NOT SUPPORTED?
« on: January 31, 2011, 02:17:25 PM »

My local cable company finally got 50mb down and 5 mb up!!!  I take an ethernet cable and go straight from their modem to my laptop and run speedtest.net and by george it works - 50/5.  However when I plug the modem into my DIR655 any thing coming out maxes out at 20/512kbps.  The telco said I must have an N adapter to get maximum speed.  Then how am I getting 50mbps from the modem to the laptop?  It appears the dir 655 is maxing out at 20mbps.  Any ideas?
