DIR 615 and other devices on frequency 2.4GHz
« on: October 21, 2008, 06:30:06 AM »

I have recently activated the wireless component of the DIR-615 to facilitate use of my Macbook Pro. I have discovered that when the portable phone is in use the DIR-615 loses connectivity.

The portable phone is a Panasonic model KX-TG2216. The base and phone operates on frequencies between 2.402GHz and 2.480GHz.

These are the settings I have on the DIR-615:
802.11 Mode:                         Mixed 802.11n 802.11g & 802.11b
Transmission Rate:                  Best (Automatic)
Channel Width:                       Auto 20/40 MHz
Enable Auto Channel Scan:       On

I then tried a number of combinations hoping to avoid any frequency interferences between the phone and the DIR-615. I turned the auto channel scan off and first choose Channel 6 and still experienced the problem, then channel 1 and then channel 11. Still to no avail.

Below is an excerpt of the log showing the error when it disconnects. Would you be able to help me identify how I can resolve this problem?

Thanks for your assistance,
Hayward Keats…

Re: DIR 615 and other devices on frequency 2.4GHz

You'll need to remove the phone from the environment. 2.4Ghz cordless phones are going to cause interference.
