Issues with install
« on: October 26, 2008, 06:03:53 AM »

Hi I have had this card for almost a year and have never got it working, first it would install fine and work good. If I shut off the computer or removed the card, it would not recognize it again. Would have to reinstall again. After messing with tech support for like a month-month and half I give up. I knew I had issues with my computer at the time so figured whatever. Now I just reformatted the computer and got everything up and running again and thought I would try again. Now when I am doing the install it has an error everytime when I press "next" after inserting the card. Tried this about 15 times already. So I did a manual driver install and it now sees the card and recognises it in device manager but has an error code 10. Says device failed to start. I have a DGL-4500 router and I think it would be nice to get to use the N feature. My computer is a Dell Latitude D610. Not sure what more info you might need but

Well looks like if I restart the computer it will connect, if I take the card out and reinsert it it won't work. But if I restart the computer with the card installed it works again. Is this a normal characteristic?

Dude
I've had much the same experience as you describe, however I have gone for short periods where the card worked flawlessly (and it was awesome).
But now its not working again so here I am, trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

I would like to help if possible so I will begin by asking a question for both of you. Do you have an internal network card? That is, one that came installed when you bought your laptops?
