Router Configuration for gaming
« on: November 11, 2008, 11:05:22 AM »

Hi.

Would anyone be so kind as to post the optimal wireless setting for gaming ?

I, unfortunately, live in a basement . . . and hence no chance for a lan cable, so i'm resorting to wireless as my last bet.

Unless there are alternatives (because it's slow), thanks !

Beyond the obvious configuration items, be sure to set up Port Forwarding for the particular games you play, Xbox LIve, and so on.

This will ensure the best connectivity and make sure the FW doesn't block any needed transmissions.
