Wal

Thanks for the information. I was going to attach a USB drive and use it as a central drive for all  the PCs in the house, but the single access issue killed the idea. I'm looking at an Iomega NAS drive instead.

It didn't work for me. Shareport will see both drives through the usb hub. It will connect to either drive fine, provided that I don't have both connected simultaneously. Shareport will freeze as soon as I tried to connect to the second drive without first disconnected from the first.

Interesting, What OS are you on? And to confirm, you are using the DIR-825 with firmware: 1.01 (latest D-Link Support site)?

I'm using Vista Home Premium 32-bit. And yes, I'm using the DIR-825 with firmware: 1.01 with Shareport driver 1.00 (latest from D-Link Support site).

Same brand, same file system, different data.

x2 Western Digital My Passport Essential WDME3200TN 320GB USB 2.0 Black External Hard Drive

and a DUB-H4 (http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=1&pid=152)

note, the hub is powered via external power adapter.
