Annoyance with Info/LCD Screen
« on: November 30, 2008, 01:18:00 AM »

I was monitoring the Network Rx/TX Statistics on the LCD for one of the WiFi radios on my DIR-855; after a short while the screen went off.  When I pressed a button to bring it back, the menu system reset itself to the Home/starting position and I had to press a whole load button presses to move back through the menu system back to where I was.  WHAT A PAIN!

Is there no way to override the sceen blanking, and keep the LCD screen on all the time?

Or alternatively, how to turn the screen back on, after it has gone off, and STAY on the previously viewed info screen - WITHOUT the menu system resetting itself?

Thanks

Currently, no there is not. I can request that the menu retain is position, but the screen can not stay on all the time.

I'd be grateful if you would request that the menus stay in position.  Such a simple modification would improve the usability greatly.  I can live without the screen staying on continuously.

Thanks
